There's nothing more frustrating than taking the time to write a great email to a potential employer and they never get back to you. To give yourself the best chance at success you'll want to know which times are most likely to get someones attention.
Interestingly, the times we think people read emails and the times they actually do are completely different. Boomerang for Gmail even conducted a study from over 100 million emails to prove it.
The infographic below shows their findings.
From their results, it's clear that the best time to send an email is at 6 am. This way the reader isn't distracted by a bunch of other tasks, thinking about lunch or eager to get home.
Of course, you shouldn't just rely on timing in order to get noticed. You also want to have a clear subject line, a great message and a lack of typos or errors.
But hey, it couldn't hurt, right?
