Personal Assistant

Job Description

We require a Personal Assistant (New Position) to assist our management team. Most of the year the position will be based at our fruit pack house in ETTRICK (December to June) with the remaining months based from our office in Alexandra. 
Central Organics grow organic apples and cherries and need an experienced Personal Assistant to:  
• Co-ordinate management meetings and take minutes. 
• Assist HR Manager with Payroll/Pay Day Filing duties.  
• Assist the Production Manager with product dispatch labelling, compliance documents and co-ordinating staff training.  
• Assist the Pack House & Production Manager to co-ordinate the operations of the post-harvest pack house by liaising with other staff on these matters. 
• Support the HR Manager by advertising seasonal work positions, arranging groups for employment inductions and checking staff employment documents. 
• Prepare reports, correspondence & other documents 
• have knowledge of Food Safety & work-place safety.  
• have confidence communicating to all levels of a team. 
• Book travel arrangements and accommodation. 
• Have at least 3 years work experience in an administrative support role with IT abilities including Microsoft Office & Excel is a requirement.  
The person in this role must be able to work 6 days a week over our busy packing seasons (Dec-Jan and March-June). Horticulture Post-Harvest operational knowledge would be preferred.
