Wanted: Permanent Employment roles undertaking Wilding Pine Eradication “drill & fill work” 8 months per year and Exotic Tree Planting 4 months per year. Must be drug free and committed to a minimum of 8-months work, but preferably fulltime.
When: Fulltime roles commencing February 2021
Where: Primarily in the Nelson/Tasman Region, with some away work in the winter period in the Buller/West Coast area.
Who: Experience in Tree Planting or Wilding Pine Control preferred, but training will be given to exceptional sure-footed “outdoorsy” non experienced applicants, who already have (or can soon develop) the ability to work up and down steep slopes through medium to dense undergrowth 5 days a week carrying up to 20kg of equipment and sustenance.
Personal attributes applicants need to have include: - Positive attitude towards the work and fellow crew members - Reliability to turn up on time 5 days a week, every week - Be a team player, always prepared to do share of tough parts of work-blocks - Determination to battle through the “getting fit for the role” stage.
