We choose these partners in our menu’s for the quality they offer as well as their commitment to sustainability and ethical farming practices. We only use New Zealand ingredients and where we can they are sourced within a range of 400km from the restaurant” This philosophy plays an important part to a mission of welcoming guests to our restaurant for a dining experience that will excite, challenge, entertain and satisfy with a seasonal menu that highlights both the finest local produce and our Amisfield wines.

About the Role

To provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience, offering personable, knowledgeable service that is engaging, professional, informative and relative to our food style and the atmosphere Amisfield offers.

About You:

Deliver the Amisfield guest experience, providing all of our customers with a knowledgeable, informative and memorable experience
Ensure the requested sequence of service to undertaken
Ensure professional, experienced waiting skills are displayed
Ensure table talk on all dishes are memorised and conveyed correctly
Ensure all dish and ingredients are known and memorised as per tasting notes
Ensure all wines are known and memorised as per tasting notes
Proven commitment to high standards of food and beverage service
Focus on service, wine knowledge and sales
Ensure effective communication with the kitchen and cellar door team
Act as an ambassador for Amisfield, maintaining the quality and brand positioning at all times
Positive leadership qualities Ability to lead, motivate and mentor junior team members
A strong work ethic, reliable and trustworthy
Excellent time management and the ability to stay calm within a busy, demanding service

Applicants for this position should have NZ citizenship/residency or a NZ work visa with a minimum of 12 months validity.
