Quality Supervisor

You will be working for CAJ van der Voort (CAJ), a family owned business which has been in operation since the 1960’s.

CAJ grows a variety of apples which are exported to over 40 countries around the globe. We are a large modern Packhouse based in Ettrick, Central Otago.

Your core focus will be to ensure that CAJ meets its Customer and Export Market Phytosanitary requirements. As part of the Leadership team you will be expected to participate in Production meetings and report on phytosanitary & quality aspects including pack-out rates.

You will also be required to liaise with the Post-Harvest Manager in making decisions on market suitability. Having previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous as would knowledge of Overseas Assurance Programmes (OAP’s), MPI Operational Systems, Export Market Requirements and working in a Packhouse environment.

A good comprehension and understanding of computer systems would also be an advantage in this role, however specific training in the ABC software package will be given.

A team player with good communication skills is essential.

This is a seasonal position with Phytosanitary Training beginning on the 17th Feb. The season runs from Feb/March to July with Packhouse hours of operation 7.45am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
