ORCHARD THINNING

Irrigation Services Orchards is looking for thinners and pickers in the Hastings/Clive/Havelock North areas of Hawke's Bay. Work starts week of November 9, with thinning of apple trees until mid-January and will flow through until harvest which starts in February.

Thinning involves removing surplus tiny apples to get the right number of fruit per tree.  Picking involves placing apples into harvest buckets. Work is paid on a piece rate per bin picked when your skills allow you to move above minumum wage rate. Keen self starters are sought for this role, who enjoy physical work.

Both roles include ladder work.
