Glasshouse Workers

We are seeking reliable, fit and energetic Glasshouse and Packhouse Workers to help us through our busy season.

Gourmet Mokai is located 30kms north west of Taupo.

Working in the Glasshouse:

The work isn’t complicated, but it is in a fast-paced environment where focus on quality is a must. You don't need to be experienced for this role but we request all applicants have the flexibility to work extended hours, are comfortable working at heights and have reliable transport to get to work each day. This is a role that will have you learning about plant care such as pest awareness, planting, trimming , twisting and other requirements for excellent plant maintenance.

If you’d like to work in an environment where it’s Summer all year round, this could be the opportunity for you. You will join an experienced team in a modern glasshouse and many of our crew have been with us for more than a few years so there’s plenty of assistance if you need it. We’re not going to say it’s an easy going job because honestly some days it’s not. The work can be physically demanding and on hot days this makes it challenging.

In the Packhouse your responsibilities will include checking and grading the produce as it is packed.

To do this role our ideal candidate will have the following:

* The ability and motivation to do physical work

* Happy and able to work flexible hours - We may consider Part- Time hours for the right applicant.

* Be comfortable standing for a full shift and you will be physically fit enough to safely lift boxes of up to 10kg

* Have a good eye for detail

* Like to work as part of a team.

Experience for these roles is not crucial we just ask that you are reliable and match the above requirements.
