Apple Picking

We’re a fifth generation family owned orchard and vineyard operation located close to the town of Blenheim in the magnificent Marlborough Region.

Apple picking work is available from mid-March until the end of April and requires workers to carefully select and pick fruit. You will be trained in all aspects of the task. You'll be using picking bags and a ladder (approx. 2 meters tall) so you'll need to be safety conscious, comfortable with heights and reasonably fit. You may also be asked from time to time to help with other tasks such as moving or collecting up reflective cloth.

Picking is paid on piece rate for bins completed. This gives you the opportunity to earn significantly more than the standard hourly wage if you're keen and capable. You'll need to be flexible with your time as we generally work 6 days a week and need to work around any wet weather.
