Each year our harvest seasons are never the same, always improving to be better, and enjoy the company of people from different cultures and backgrounds. We are a small packhouse that employs over 60 people during the season, being a small fish in an ocean of bigger fish makes us unique in the kiwifruit industry.
Fruit Controller - controls the bin tip by tipping the fruit onto the sizer machine, looks after the reject bins by removing the full bins and replacing the empty bins.
Box Makers - Makes different types of boxes for the production line and maintains and cleans the box making machine.
Graders - Grading the kiwifruit for physical and cosmetic defects before going to the packing line.
Tray Preparers - Preparing the trays by lining the different types of boxes with the appropriate liners before putting it on the conveyer.
Packers - Packing the fruit into the different types of boxes by gently flattening the top and wrapping the liner, tucking the liner down the side, and closing the lid. There may be times when a packer will need to count the fruit in the bulk boxes.
Stackers - Labelling the boxes with the correct EAN labels (Pallet numbers, Size, Pack type) and stacking the boxes onto the correct pallet. There may be times that a stacker may be asked to strap pallet and move pallets into the pre-cool store.
Shift Coordinator - Ensuring each shift is staffed to maximum capacity, looking after absenteeism of staff, updating and maintaining staff information, Daily spot checks to ensure all staff who are clocked in are onsite.
Staffroom Attendant - Cleaning and sanitising of the lunchroom and outside smoko area, making tea and coffee before each break and sanitising parts of the packhouse.
Shed Cleaner - Cleaning and sanitising the shed to minimise dust and debris.
