Orchard Hand

We are looking for general orchard hands who can assist with general works around our berry farm. We are currently expanding on site so it's an exciting opportunity.

You must be a practical, hands-on hard worker who is physically fit and able.

The general orchard hand duties will be, but are not limited to the following :

-Cane training/pruning

-Spraying and mowing general surrounds

-Grow bag removal and installation

-Irrigation maintenance

-Fruit collection and harvest assistance (not picking)

-Tunnel construction /maintenance

You will be working within a team and therefore must be able to manage time efficiently & effectively so that all jobs are completed within the given time frame. The successful candidate will preferably have proven orchard experience, but not necessarily. Machine operating experience will be useful. Candidates will be reliable, well organised, self-motivated and have a flexible, can do attitude. You will have a strong work ethic. Work hours will be approx. 50-55hrs/week, 5-6 days a week. Weekend will be required ocassionaly. The position is a permanent position Position starts ASAP. Located on the boarder of Onewhero, Franklin/Waikato region. We are 20min away from Pukekohe.
