Vege Harvesting and Packing- family business in North Canterbury- 35 to 45 hrs per week

Onion/Cauliflower and Pumpkin Harvest in North Canterbury

We are looking for three people to join our team and assist with harvest from 22nd Feb to 30th April.  We will be harvesting and packing  onions, cauliflowers and pumpkins over this time frame. 

This work is very dusty,  repetitive and involves standing for prolonged periods.   Ideally you need to be comfortable lifting upto 20kg.  Have no physical ailments that will prevent you working this role day in and day out, and most importantly be reliable. 

This role would be for a minimum of 35 hours a week and no more than 45 hours a week.  Days of work would be Monday to Saturday .  Having said that  we like to keep our teams Saturdays free if we can.   We start at 7am at the earliest and would not normally work beyond 5pm.  We work rain or shine.

Ideally you will hold a clean NZ drivers license and have a reliable car to get you to work - there is no buses and no accommodation on farm.  You would need to bring a packed lunch with you.   We are approx 17km from Kaiapoi and Rangiora, and 22km from CHCH.  All these areas have camping grounds .  

International travelers currently based in NZ are most welcome to apply but you will need to have NZ bank account, IRD no, proof of work visa status, and good English.

We will provide gumboots, hi vis shirt, vest, and wet weather gear.  Our wages are paid weekly.  We will pay $21.80 per hour.
